Tapash Roy, Kolkata: Hindusthan Club Ltd. revealed the second season of the eagerly awaited “Hindusthan Club Marathon Raising the Dust.” This event, which is set for Sunday, December 8, 2024, honours Kolkata’s thriving running culture and upholds the city’s values of fitness, camaraderie, and zeal. The marathon is a historic athletic event in South Kolkata that gives runners a chance to take in the city’s charm while navigating its famous streets. There are three fascinating categories at the event: Three-kilometer fun run 5 and 10 km timed runs Race bibs, a gorgeously designed medal, and an exclusive participant T-shirt were among the major elements of the marathon that were shown during the press conference. These components inspire enthusiasm among runners and fans by symbolising the event’s tenacity and resolve.
Sports Chairperson Swati Bihani praised the Hindusthan Club Marathon for promoting endurance and fitness in Kolkata. “This year, we went above and beyond to improve the participant experience, from meticulously designed race kits to a vibrant event-day atmosphere. It’s very encouraging to see how much excitement and optimism this marathon gives to our town.”
The Hindusthan Club Marathon: Raising the Dust Season 2 is more than just a sporting event. It’s a celebration of health, community, and the human spirit. Speaking at the press conference, President Rishabh C. Kothari remarked: “The Hindusthan Club Marathon is more than a race it’s a celebration of community, healthy living, and personal milestones. Last year, we saw participation from around 1,000 runners. With Season 2, we aim to surpass expectations while maintaining exceptional quality. This year, we’ve introduced new features such as a dedicated 5 KM loop and age-category podiums, ensuring inclusivity and engagement for all participants.”
The event was graced by the club’s esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. Rishabh C. Kothari (President), Mr. Chandra Sekhar Sarda (Honorary Secretary ), Mrs. Swati Bihani (Sports Chairperson), The Marathon Organising Committee comprises of Saurabh M. Shah, Prateek Bihani, Mehul Damani, Jigar Malani, Anand Goenka. The event’s Race Director is Vaibhav Pandya, a prominent marathoner in Kolkata.
