Kolkata, 5th March 2025 – SPK Jain Futuristic Academy hosted a special event titled “Honoring Women Trailblazers on the Occasion of International Women’s Day,” celebrating the remarkable achievements of women across various fields. The event aimed to inspire the next generation with stories of leadership, resilience, and empowerment.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of women achievers, including:
- Dr. Sushmita Roychowdhury, an expert pulmonologist with nearly 25 years of experience in the medical field.
- Nandini Bhattacharjee, a member of the Global Consortium of Women working to end violence against men and boys worldwide.
- Amita Mishra, General Manager of Ibis Kolkata Rajarhat.
- Dr. Paromita Mitra Bhaumik, a consultant child psychologist.
- Nidhi Bothra, Regional Head of Wealth & Trade at ICICI Bank.
- Paromita Ghosh, Founder and Director of Candid.
- Nabaneeta Agarwal, Key Account Manager at HDFC Bank Ltd.
- China Pal, a renowned potter and idol artist.
- Chandana Bhunia, Mahila rescuer with NDRF.
- Lili Pradhan, Mahila rescuer with NDRF.
Sri Jaideep Patwa, Secretary of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, opened the event with a powerful message: “Naari Shakti evam Shakti Naari.” He emphasized the importance of empowering students with real-life stories of resilience and success. “Today’s session was a reminder that no dream is too big and no challenge is too tough if one has the will to overcome it,” he said.
In addition to celebrating women leaders, the academy also acknowledged the contributions of unsung heroes whose efforts often go unnoticed. Special recognition was given to the caregivers, cleaning staff, women security personnel, and other support staff who contribute significantly to maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
The ceremony also featured a felicitation of esteemed guests Shashi Kankaria, Smt. Kusum Patwa, Smt. Sonal Choraria, and Smt. Trishla Bhansaly, who are regarded as pillars of the Sabha. They honored the event’s distinguished guests, followed by a tribute to the school’s dedicated supporting staff, teachers, and administrative personnel.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to interact with the guests, gaining valuable advice and inspiration.
