Aaj Talkss : IN a moment of pride for Kolkata, noted industrialist and philanthropist Shreekumar Toshniwal was conferred the prestigious ‘Bharat Gaurav’ Award at the iconic British Parliament in London. The ceremony, organized by Sanskruti Yuva Sanstha, recognised the contributions of 25 distinguished personalities from across the globe. Among this year’s recipients were acclaimed lyricist Javed Akhtar, Vedanta Group’s Kiran Agarwal, and eminent cardiologist Dr. Tejas Patel.
Toshniwal, the driving force behind Victoria Jute Mill and a trustee of the Pushkarnarayan Toshniwal Charitable Trust, was honoured for his outstanding commitment to industry and social welfare. Accepting the award alongside his wife Sunita Toshniwal, he dedicated the recognition to his mother, brother, and the entire Victoria family, stating, “This honour reflects our values and deep sense of responsibility towards society.”
The event marked a significant celebration of Indian excellence on a global stage, with Shreekumar Toshniwal’s achievement bringing further glory to the city of Kolkata and to India.
