Aajtalkss,N.B: On July 23rd, an enlightening environmental awareness seminar was organized at Cooch Behar Government Model Madrasah. The key focus areas of the discussion were rainwater harvesting, tree plantation, and wildlife conservation. The aim of the event was to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness among the students.
The seminar featured two distinguished speakers — Dr. Nazrul Islam, Associate Professor of Geography at Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University, and renowned biochemist and Shiksharatna awardee, Dr. Ashutosh Dutta. Both speakers presented their insights with clarity and enthusiasm, making complex topics accessible and engaging for the students.
Teacher-in-charge of the madrasah, Mr. Raju Kar, expressed his heartfelt appreciation, saying, “We, the students and teachers alike, feel enriched, inspired, and deeply moved by this remarkable session.”
Dr. Sanjib Chakraborty, the Geography teacher of the institution, highlighted the significance of such programs, stating, “Since students are the future of our planet, inspiring them through awareness initiatives like this can play a crucial role in slowing down the rapid degradation of our environment.”
