Kolkata, January 23, 2026:
Kaberir Rannaghar, a new Bengali cookbook by Kaberi Biswas, was launched in Kolkata, marking the first title in a three-part culinary series published by Prajnaa Publication. The book blends international flavours with a Bengali home-cooking sensibility, offering readers a fresh and contemporary culinary experience.
The launch was attended by prominent figures from the food, publishing and hospitality sectors, including Subrata Dutta of The George Telegraph Group, Indrajit Lahiri of Foodka Consulting & Academy, representatives of the Publishers & Booksellers Guild, chefs Palak Chatterjee and Jayanta Banerjee, entrepreneur Rajiv Paul and several other distinguished guests.
The first volume features Continental, Chinese, Parsi and Afghani recipes, focusing on salads, snacks and select chicken dishes suited to modern, health-conscious lifestyles. Traditional Bengali staples have been intentionally excluded to present something new and unconventional.
Inspired by her lifelong passion for cooking, Kaberi Biswas developed the book from her personal recipe collection. She is also actively involved in sports initiatives as Trustee and Honorary Treasurer of the Star Badminton Academy, Harinavi. Future volumes will focus on traditional Bengali cuisine and baked delights.
