Tapash Roy, ATNN: Kolkata witnessed a vibrant celebration of creativity and couture as students of NIF Global Saltlake unveiled their artistic brilliance at Explodia 2026, the institute’s annual fashion and lifestyle exhibition. Blending innovation with craftsmanship, the showcase highlighted a striking range of garments and lifestyle products created by students from B.Voc, B.Des, M.Voc and certification programmes. From avant-garde silhouettes and haute couture ensembles to reconstructed denim and sustainable fashion concepts, the exhibition reflected the evolving language of contemporary design.
The exhibition also spotlighted heritage-inspired lifestyle products developed through sustainable workshops in Santiniketan, alongside collections influenced by global calligraphy, urban geometry and organic foliage. Adding glamour to the occasion, the institute announced a special fashion show platform for students to present their collections before a wider audience. With participation in prestigious events such as London Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and Lakmé Fashion Week, NIF Global Saltlake continues to strengthen its position as a leading creative institution nurturing industry-ready talent.
The institute further highlighted its impressive placement achievements, stating that over 98 percent of fashion design students have secured placements in reputed brands across India, including Adidas, Zara, Nike and Calvin Klein. More than just an exhibition, Explodia 2026 emerged as a dynamic launchpad for young designers ready to redefine fashion with confidence, sustainability and fresh vision.
