Tapash Roy, ATNN:The Sharad Pushpanjali Samman 2025 once again recognized those Durga Pujas of Kolkata that, amidst the dazzle of colors and celebration, did not forget to uphold the message of environmental responsibility. On September 27th, at a city event, the top nine eco-friendly pujas were officially announced. Behala Club won the ‘Best Pushpanjali’ category, while Chetla Agrani received top honors for pandal construction. Chalta Bagan Sarbojanin stood out for its artistic yet meaningful idol presentation. Among residential complexes, Siddha Galaxia was lauded for its eco-conscious celebration. The ‘Prakriti Sera’ (Nature’s Best) recognition went to Belgachia Central Sarbojanin, Santoshpur Lake Pally, New Alipore Canal Road, Samaj Seba Samiti Tala Barowari, and Bosepukur Sheetala Mandir.

This year’s ‘Sharad Anannya’ title was awarded to Aheli Das for her tireless work in social and environmental causes. Present during the award declaration were S.L. Toshriwal, Dr. Prasun Ghosh, advocate Abhijit Bandopadhyay, along with organizing committee members Indrani Ray and Arindrajit Ray. The organizers expressed their hope that this recognition would transform Durga Puja into more than just a spectacle — into a vibrant platform for environmental and social awareness. On behalf of the Sharad Pushpanjali Samman 2025 team, heartfelt congratulations were extended to all the winning puja committees, along with a collective call to make future festivals greener and more responsible.

The entire programme, which was coordinated by Debabrata Roychowdhury, received media support from Positive Barta.
