ATNN :On World Mental Health Day 2025, psychological wellness platform Give Me Five (GM5) released a survey revealing that 24% of school students aged 10–18 in Karnataka and Telangana are experiencing psychological distress. Conducted across 11 schools and over 5,000 students, the study highlights critical issues such as poor sleep, lack of focus, and fear of disappointing parents. Alarmingly, 6–10% of students fall into a high-risk category needing immediate support. GM5 Founder Brendan Fahey emphasized the importance of early, data-driven intervention, while CEO Dr. Lisa Fahey OAM stressed the role of digital tools in reducing stigma and encouraging help-seeking behavior. The findings underscore the urgent need for structured mental health programs in schools.
