Kolkata, June 5: Reinforcing its commitment to both healthcare excellence and environmental responsibility, CK Birla Hospitals, CMRI observed World Environment Day through a special tree plantation initiative at its premises. The programme reflected the hospital’s belief that healthcare extends beyond clinical treatment and encompasses the environment in which patients, caregivers and communities live.
The event was graced by Dr. Indranil Khan, noted oncologist and recently elected minister, who actively participated in the plantation drive. Interacting with doctors and healthcare professionals, Dr. Khan highlighted the importance of collective responsibility towards environmental conservation and reiterated the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas and Sabka Vishwas.” He stressed that institutions across all sectors must work together to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.
