SURTECH Welcomes New Batch at Student Induction Programme 2026–27
Kolkata, August 20, 2026: Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex (SURTECH), a JIS Group Educational Initiative, welcomed its new batch of students at the Student Induction Programme 2026–27, titled ‘Pehla Kadam’. The programme marked the beginning of their academic journey with a focus on inspiration, exposure, confidence-building and holistic development.
The event brought together distinguished personalities from public life, education, spirituality, diplomacy, sports, media, industry and government. Among the notable guests were Tarunjyoti Tewari, MLA, Rajarhat Gopalpur; Swami Vasavananda, Senior Monk and Monastic Member, Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur; Ekaterina Tyurina, Vice-Consul, Consulate General of the Russian Federation, Kolkata; Neeraj Saxena, Pro Chancellor, JIS University; Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar, Vice Chancellor, JIS University; former Indian international cricketer and coach Arun Lal; Indian content creator, writer, filmmaker and television host Sujoyneel; and senior representatives from Dreamztech Solutions, Reliance Jio and Nomura Research Institute Fintech.
The programme provided students with valuable insights into leadership, discipline, perseverance, communication and professional growth. Interactions with accomplished personalities from diverse fields encouraged the students to look beyond academics and develop confidence, responsibility and a broader perspective towards their future careers.
