Indian Bridge Community Sets Stage for Major December Championships

ATNN:The Corporate Bridge Association of India has announced the schedule for this year’s national bridge championships, beginning on 1 December with the Ladies Pairs, followed by the Senior Teams on 2 December and the Mixed Pairs on 3 December, reflecting the rising popularity of both senior and mixed events. The Phoenix Market City IMP Pairs, the season’s third high-ranking competition, is slated for 7 December; last year’s edition was won by Vinay Desai and Raju Tolani. The historic Dabriwala Trophy, a full-day Board-A-Match event, returns on 10 December after several years. The Bridge Federation of India will present trophies across all major events and distribute total prize money of ₹11.25 lakh after statutory deductions. This year’s honours include the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 for Mrs. Kiran Nadar in recognition of her longstanding contribution to Indian and international bridge, while Sumit Mukherjee will receive the Best Player Award 2025 for topping the national master-points list for the second consecutive year, and Vidhya Patel will be named Best Junior Girl Player 2025.
