Environment Champion Quiz 2026 Grand Finale Celebrates Young Environmental Leaders

Kolkata: Mantras Foundation hosted the Grand Finale of the Environment Champion Quiz 2026 – 3rd Edition at The Heritage School, Kolkata, bringing together school students, educators, institutional leaders, industry representatives and distinguished guests to promote environmental awareness and youth leadership.

Ashok Hall Girls’ Higher Secondary School emerged as the winner of the third edition. Ideal Public School, Kulgachia secured the second position, while Lions Calcutta Greater Vidya Mandir finished third

The Environment Champion Quiz is a flagship initiative of Mantras Foundation aimed at promoting environmental awareness, sustainability and responsible citizenship among school students. Through the quiz, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of environmental issues while developing curiosity, teamwork and a sense of responsibility towards the planet.

The Grand Finale featured several rounds, including the Preliminary Round, Knowledge & Awareness Round, Visual/Audio & Rapid-Fire Round, Semi-Final and Final Round, conducted by the quiz master Abhishek Kar. The competition was followed by a ceremonial and cultural programme featuring the felicitation of distinguished guests, Ganesh Vandana, a welcome dance, result declaration, prize distribution, special addresses and the screening of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” video.

The event was graced by Mayapati Khemka, Chairman, Mantras Foundation; Vibhor Tandon, President, Mantras Foundation; and Pragya Jhunjhunwala, National Secretary, Mantras Foundation. Several other distinguished personalities, including B. D. Surana, Mukesh Parekh, Manoj Bhalotia, Amar Bhartia, K K Jalan, K S Adhikary, Manish Drolia, Seema Saproo, Piya Nandy and Atul Singh, were also present.

The initiative was powered by SBI and Duroply, with EMC Limited and Emami Group as CSR Partners. Heritage Group and CAGS College supported the initiative. Partner organisations included Lions Club of Calcutta Tollygunge, MASA Forum, Rabindra Sarovar Friends Forum, Concern for Calcutta and Praxia Skills. IDFC FIRST Bank, Sigma Energy, Manafuli Group, Federal Bank, Anmol Biscuits and WIN Pens also extended support.

The successful conclusion of the third edition marked another milestone in Mantras Foundation’s efforts to strengthen environmental learning and responsible citizenship among young people. The Grand Finale concluded with the felicitation of the winning teams and participating institutions.
