ATNN, Kolkata: The two-day JIS Education Expo 2026 commenced today, bringing together students, parents, educators and academic leaders for one of Eastern India’s largest education and career guidance events. The expo aims to help students make informed academic and career choices by providing a comprehensive platform to explore higher education opportunities and future learning pathways.
The expo was inaugurated by Samik Bhattacharya, President of BJP West Bengal, alongside acclaimed actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group, Sardar Raj Singh, Joint Managing Director, and Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director of JIS Group.
The event features 39 educational institutions showcasing 185 programmes across diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and professional education streams. Dedicated institutional pavilions allow students and parents to interact directly with faculty members, admission teams and career counsellors to gain insights into courses, career prospects, industry relevance and emerging education trends.

A key highlight of the opening day was the felicitation of meritorious Class X and Class XII students from schools across West Bengal. The ceremony recognised their academic achievements while inspiring aspiring students to pursue excellence.
The expo also offers free personalised counselling sessions, guiding students and parents on career planning, course selection, admissions, scholarships, skill development and future career opportunities.

Speaking at the event, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group, said, “Education is not merely about acquiring degrees; it is about discovering one’s potential and preparing for the opportunities of tomorrow.
