ATNN: The sixth edition of the Global Education Career Fair (GECF 2026), organised in collaboration with Loreto College, Kolkata, on April 10, drew an enthusiastic response as nearly 800 students from prominent city schools participated in the event. Attendees included students from La Martiniere for Girls, Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Abhinav Bharati High School, Adamas International School, and Loreto House, along with teachers and career counsellors, creating a vibrant atmosphere focused on global academic opportunities.

The event commenced with an address by the Principal of Loreto College, Sister Dr A. Nirmala, who welcomed participants and set the tone for the proceedings. A felicitation ceremony followed, where Mahasweta Banerjee, Managing Director of Bluesky Educational Services, honoured distinguished guests with bouquets and traditional uttaris. The inauguration was marked by a ceremonial lamp lighting and a Vandana performance by Loreto College students. Deputy Consul General Ashida Katsunori addressed the gathering, while school principals Rupkatha Sarkar and Purbita Bagchi encouraged students to explore international education with confidence.

During the fair, Bluesky Educational Services introduced the AKIRA Study Plans, aimed at guiding students interested in pursuing higher education in Japan. The event also featured participation from leading global universities, including institutions from Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.

University representatives and counsellors interacted with students across the exhibition floor, offering guidance on courses, application procedures, scholarships, and career prospects. The event also included food stalls and interactive activities, contributing to a lively and engaging environment. Organisers credited the smooth execution of the fair to the coordinated efforts of the Loreto Career Cell, student volunteers, and the Bluesky team.
The fair marked a significant step in fostering international academic collaboration and providing students with exposure to diverse global education pathways.
