Kolkata, April 20, 2026: Candid by Paromita in association with the Department of Media Science at The Heritage Academy, Kolkata, marked National PR Day with a dynamic media conclave that brought together leading voices from corporate communications, media, healthcare and marketing to explore the evolving landscape of digital communication, artificial intelligence and real-time reputation management.

It featured two engaging panel discussions titled “Digital PR in the Age of AI & Virality: Managing Reputation & Crisis” and “Digital PR in the Age of AI & Virality: Shaping Narratives & Newsworthiness,”.

The experts highlighted how AI-driven tools, predictive analytics and digital influence are transforming the way brands navigate crises and build credibility while emphasizing that authenticity and human judgment remain central to trust-building.

The first panel saw Rupak Barua, Dr Kunal Sarkar, Sumona Chatterjee and K Sunil Kumar discuss proactive communication strategies and the role of technology in crisis response, while the second panel with Dhrubo Banerjee, Jimmy Tangree, Samrat Mukherjee and Abhijian Nandy focused on storytelling, media consumption and the growing challenge of misinformation in a digital-first world.

Madhupa Bakshi, Dean of Media Science at The Heritage Academy, underscored the importance of equipping future professionals with skills in ethical storytelling and digital PR, while Paromita Ghosh, Founder Director of Candid by Paromita, stated that the conclave aimed to create meaningful dialogue around the impact of AI and virality on modern communication.
